  Schools

One of the aspects of bookselling we enjoy the most is our involvement with our school accounts.

We provide many services for them.

First and foremost, we can provide books at a very competitive discount. Please ring and speak to Joanna De Guia for more details.

We advise on, and order in, books for prize-givings. This can be done as a stock-pick in the shop or we bring the shop to the school.

If there is a particular subject for which books are required, eg. Black History Month, or Key Stage Topics, we enjoy sourcing the expected and the more unusual titles and produce a book list. We specialise in certain areas, in particular Black History and other ethnically specific books, bi-lingual books and reference books.

There are numerous events held at the bookshop throughout the year (see Events) which are open to schools involving authors, and projects ranging from designing dinosaurs to discussions on old age.

World Book Day gives us the opportunity to take the shop, including the specially published World Book Day books, to the children. We are also happy to stock a specialist book stall to compliment a school event.

For younger children still at nursery we do weekly story-reading sessions in the shop.

We pride ourselves on our ability to recommend the unexpected or unknown title about a topic as well as the more run-of-the-mill books; and we pride ourselves on our customer service.
