The Journey - by Neil Griffiths and Scott Mann
A deceptively simple tale of a toy boat which breaks free from its rope and embarks on a journey.
There is a lovely twist at the end and the whole story is told gently in rhyme. It is a perfect story for
a very young child - because of the rhyme and simple narrative - right up to a six or seven year old
who is reading for him or herself and can recognise and enjoy the metaphor. The story is
beautifully illustrated throughout by Judith Blake.
Highly recommended.

I Will Never NOT EVER Eat a Tomato - by Lauren Child
This book is a bit fantastic. Lola says "I do not eat peas or carrots or rice or potatoes or lettuce or
cauliflower and I will absolutely never not ever eat a tomato." We watch Charlie and Lola on the
telly.

Hairy Maclary From Donaldson's Dairy - by Lynley Dodd
We've got this one. Ilike this book. Bottomley Potts covered in spots is like Jazzy. Jazzy is
Grandma's dalmatian.

Emily's Legs by Dick King-Smith
I thought it was a very good story.Emily is a spider who has ten legs and she won all the 8 legged
races. She had lots of brothers and sisters who aren't very nice to her . She never saw her dad.
